Avocet – Bavaria 37

Avocet is easy to handle, comfortable, responsive and a pleasure to sail – ideal for coastal cruising.

Avocet has sleeping accommodation for 6, with a double forward cabin and two double aft cabins. There is a heads/shower cabin and a well-equipped galley with cantilevered gas hob and oven, large fridge, and storage for kitchen equipment. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, as are kitchen basics and cleaning materials to get you started. Avocet also benefits from air-blown central heating.

Avocet is a very well-maintained boat and in recent years has benefitted from many upgrades.

Avocet has wheel steering with all controls and instruments, including a colour chartplotter and pilot, at the helm. There is DSC VHF radio and separate GPS readout at chart table and a radio/CD player. Avocet also has a dinghy with a four-stroke outboard motor.

Rented a boat recently from Clyde Yacht Charters. Quality was top-notch. Boat was clean and well-maintained, loaded with all the necessary gear for a safe sail. They even had some unexpected extras onboard like salt, pepper, washing liquid – small details, but they make a difference when you’re out on the water.

The booking process was easy, even though it was last-minute on my part. Pat, Al, and Mike were really helpful, handling the reservation smoothly and efficiently. No hiccups or delays, which was appreciated.

In short, guys deliver a reliable and professional service. You get a good boat, prepared with everything you need, and a straightforward booking process. Will be back for more sails with them. Recommend giving them a shot if you’re looking for a hassle-free boat charter experience.

Avocet is an excellent example of the Bavaria 37 in great condition. We much prefer the traditional wood interiors to the ‘MFI kitchen’ feel of many of today’s boats.
